What changed in Housefolio

Every release that you can see, newest first. The current version is 1.14.1. The web, the server and the app are released together; the App Store version number of the app is counted separately.

  1. v1.14.1

    Smoother motion on the web

    • Website Headings and sections ease in as you scroll, scrolling is smoother, and the contractor's stamp "presses down" when you reach it.
    • Web app Pages and dialogs open with a short, gentle motion.
    • Accessibility If "Reduce motion" is on on your device, nothing moves.
  2. v1.14.0

Behind the wall: rooms and hidden materials

    • Logbook Add the room to a job (e.g. Bathroom) — the names you already used are one tap away.
    • Behind the wall Note what gets covered up after a job — paint, tiles, wiring, pipes, insulation — with the brand, the code and where it runs. Years later you can buy the same paint, and you know where not to drill.
    • Rooms A new view on the property page: each room's jobs and what is behind its walls.
    • Search and dossier Search finds paint codes and rooms too, and the PDF dossier lists the materials for each job.
  3. v1.13.0

Keys included: you decide about the documents

    • Handing over to the buyer Choose which documents go to the buyer. What you keep — the purchase contract or loan papers, for example — stays with you. The logbook with job photos and invoices, the appliances and the meter readings always go along.
    • Archived properties A new “Kept documents” section — the property is no longer in your account, but its papers you kept are; open or delete them.
    • Taking over The buyer sees how many documents the seller keeps.
  4. v1.12.0

    A scrollable dossier preview

    • Dossier (iOS app) Scroll through and zoom the finished dossier before you share it; the share button stays at hand.
    • Dossier (web, on a phone) The preview opens in your phone's own PDF viewer, where every page scrolls — the embedded view only showed the first page on phones.
  5. v1.11.2

Proper images in the PDF dossier

    • Dossier (PDF) The cover photo stays in its place instead of spilling over the title and the details; job photos sit in even, tidy squares.
  6. v1.11.1

Our own date picker, a separate house number

    • Dates (web) Every date field has our own calendar instead of the browser's — in your language, starting on Monday, today marked, and a click on the year takes you quickly back to earlier years.
    • New property, editing Street and house number are separate fields; the house number can include the floor and door (e.g. 34, 2/4).
    • New property (web) The type tiles have icons, as in the app, and longer labels no longer break mid-word.
    • Files (web) Photos and invoices are added with our own picker instead of the browser's "Choose Files" field, and you see what you picked.
    • Icons (web) Notifications have date tiles, the Call and E-mail buttons icons, the search field a magnifier and contacts a monogram — as in the app.
    • On a phone (web) "Reminders" in the bottom bar is no longer cut off.
  7. v1.11.0

How a property is used: own home, let, holiday home, vacant

    • New property, editing Say how you use the property — your own home, let long-term or short-term, a holiday home, or vacant. For a new property it is filled in from the role you chose at sign-up.
    • Properties The usage shows on the card and in the property's header, and when you have more than one kind you can filter the list (for example only the ones you let).
    • Reminders A new property also gets suggestions that fit its use: a yearly walkthrough with the tenant when it is let, winterizing and a spring opening for a holiday home, a monthly check for an empty one.
    • Costs For a let property, recording income comes first; for your own home it stays out of the way until you record some.
  8. v1.10.1

What’s new from the app too

    • Settings The App section shows the version and opens the What’s new page — on the web right away, in the iPhone app from the next update.
  9. v1.10.0

    What’s new page

    • Website This page shows what changed in Housefolio, release by release; the current version is in the footer of every public page.
  10. v1.9.1

Reminders only in daytime, one button in the email

    • Notifications Reminders about contractor work sheets and quotes now arrive only during the day, around 9 am and 3 pm — no emails or alerts at night.
    • Email The email about a work sheet waiting for your approval has a button. On an iPhone it opens the app if it is installed; otherwise it takes you to your pending work sheets on the web.
  11. v1.9.0

One menu everywhere, a page for agents, monthly billing

    • Website Every public page has the same menu — For owners, For contractors, For agents, Pricing, Blog — and you can get back to the home page from any of them.
    • For agents A new page on how Housefolio follows a mandate through, and how the buyer sees the property's history.
    • Subscription Every plan is billed monthly: you pay month by month and can cancel any time in Settings.
    • Shared accounts If others share your account, you sort them out before deleting it — so nobody unexpectedly loses the shared properties.
    • Terms The Terms of Service now describe how complaints are handled and how to reach the conciliation board.
  12. v1.8.0

Pricing page, new logo, clear error messages

    • Pricing A public pricing page with the four plans, and what one property costs a month if you use a plan to its limit.
    • Brand A new logo — an outlined house with the two lines of the logbook inside.
    • Error messages Every error gives a clear message in your language, and a short code that lets support find out quickly what happened.
    • Payment Card payment through Barion is prepared; while the pilot runs, you do not pay anything.
  13. v1.7.0

    Pilot: everything is free

    • Subscription While the pilot runs, every feature is free and the limits are lifted: up to 30 properties, 5 account members, and the PDF dossier is included. No card needed.
  14. v1.6.0

Choosing your role, and the agent's journey

    • Sign-up We ask what you will use Housefolio for — your own home, rental properties, estate agency or managing a building — and tailor the start to it.
    • For agents Add a client's property from the listing details; the seller takes it over with an invitation, and the buyer can open the property's history page. You see how many times it was opened.
    • iOS app An agent's mandates are in the app too, on their own tab.
    • Account At sign-up you explicitly accept the terms, and you can see which version you accepted.
  15. v1.5.0

The Otthon look, condition reports, yearly income

    • Look and feel A new, calmer look on the web and in the app: the blurred cover photo in the background, glass panels, a colour for each category.
    • For contractors The contractor area splits into three parts: Work sheets, Quotes, Profile.
    • Rental properties Condition reports (for example at a change of tenant) and yearly income recorded next to the costs.
  16. v1.4.0

The iPhone app catches up with the web, business premises

    • iOS app It does everything the web does: contractor profile, editing a work sheet, handing over a property, templates for a new property, and links you receive by email open in the app. Subscriptions are bought on the web.
    • Properties Offices, shops, warehouses and halls can be added too, with fitting equipment (for example fire safety).
  17. v1.3.0

Quotes, your own language, more property details

    • For contractors Contractors can start a work sheet themselves, and sign up as a contractor.
    • Quotes Before the job a contractor can send an itemised quote — quantity, unit, VAT, alternatives — and you approve it item by item, from the email or in the app.
    • Language Every email and notification goes out in the recipient's language, and the dossier PDF is made in the language you are using.
    • Property details Land registry number, year built, heating (more than one), floor, rooms — and one job can be linked to several pieces of equipment.
    • Support When something fails, an ID stands under the error message; support can find your exact request with it.
  18. v1.2.0

Web app, handover on sale, contractor reference page

    • Web The owner app works in the browser too — properties, logbook, reminders — on Android and on a computer.
    • Selling When you sell the property, the whole logbook moves to the buyer's account.
    • New property Templates and a quick equipment picker, so it is ready in a few taps.
    • For contractors A public reference page with approved jobs — the contractor turns it on.
  19. v1.1.0

Reminders for the contractor loop, daily digest, blog

    • Contractor work sheet We email the link to the contractor; if they do not fill it in, or you do not review it, you both get one reminder.
    • Notifications One daily digest instead of many separate alerts.
    • Reminders Quick buttons to set them, and "Custom" for everything else.
    • Blog Ten articles on looking after a property, in English and Hungarian.
  20. v1.0.0

    The first version

    • Service book Properties, a logbook with photos and invoices, equipment, documents, meter readings.
    • Reminders Recurring maintenance with notifications, and your to-dos in your own calendar.
    • Contractor work sheet You send a link, the contractor fills it in without signing up, you approve it, and the job goes into the logbook.
    • Sharing Share your account with your partner or your accountant.
    • Sign-in With email, or an Apple or Google account.
